1. Purpose
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of ChessMentor AI, a chess game analysis and AI-powered coaching platform.
2. Service Access
The service is available to users with a valid account. Two tiers:
- Free: game import, in-browser Stockfish analysis.
- Pro: AI report, coach chat, insights, course access — requires paid subscription.
3. User Obligations
Users agree to:
- Not attempt to bypass security or payment mechanisms.
- Not import illegal content or content infringing third-party rights.
- Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only (unless agreed in writing).
- Not automate requests beyond API rate limits.
4. Intellectual Property
AI-generated analyses and course content belong to ChessMentor AI. Chess data (PGN) imported from Lichess or Chess.com remains the property of those respective platforms.
5. Limitation of Liability
ChessMentor AI is a chess improvement tool. AI analyses are indicative and do not constitute professional advice. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of Stockfish or AI evaluations. The service is provided "as is" without guarantee of continuous availability.
6. Modification and Termination
We reserve the right to modify these Terms with 14 days prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from settings. See the refund policy for subscriptions.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of French courts.
